“I have tried all the other pectin products available in my local stores with virtually no success. The jam always came out more like syrup – tasty but runny. I read about Pomona’s and decided to give it a try. I don't like to use a lot of sugar and all other pectins require that you use 55% -85% sugar in order for the pectin to do its job. Pomona’s Pectin allows you to sweeten your jam to your own taste. You can even make jam with no sugar. I made raspberry jam using 20 cups of berries, 4 cups of sugar, and one package of Pomona’s Pectin. The jam set up perfectly. After 3 seasons of canning I finally found the secret: ‘Pomona’s.’ ”

“I'll never use anything else now but this brand. Yes, it's that good! . . . Pomona's Universal Pectin has been a God-send! All my friends use it now too. I can cut the sugar in half (or use none at all if preferred) and get all the great fruit flavor...so much healthier! Only wish the regular supermarkets would catch on and start carrying it. Thanks for a fabulous product!”

“How do I love thee, Pomona? Well, first, you get a ton more jelling out of one box than you get out of the Ball/Knox variety. . . . Plus, if you run into trouble, just call the JAMLINE for really knowledgeable help. It's like you're calling a jamming expert in her kitchen. Very cool.”

“I made Spicy Red Pepper Jelly with Pomona Pectin which I LOVE. This natural citrus pectin means I can add less sugar (and no—they didn’t send me any free samples—I discovered it all on my own). I also made Rhubarb Strawberry Jam with Pomona’s Pectin and used 4 cups fruit and only 1 1/3 cups sugar… it was full of fruit flavor.”

“I cannot say enough good about this pectin! . . . It's fantastic. It helps get enough fruit in our diet, with the local honey helping with allergies. No sugar other than the honey, not too sweet - wonderful. As an added bonus, their Jamline is awesome - she always calls back quickly with thorough support. Who knew companies still did that??”

“My daughter and I recently made jam and we LOVED this [Pomona’s] pectin. . . . [Y]ou could use other sweeteners like honey or agave nectar and still have the jam set up perfectly. Another great bonus was that we only had to use one box of pectin for 24 jars of jam. Very easy to use product and we will be jammin' again soon!”

“Friends have been telling me about the virtues of Pomona’s Pectin for quite a while.  I recently got some from PCC [Natural Markets], and now I’m hooked. . . .”

“This pectin [Pomona’s] works beautifully and what I love about it is that it is NOT apple pectin. I have friends who swear by ‘Sure-Jell’ and the like, but to me, when preserves are made with that stuff, the apple flavor of the pectin is overpowering. I just made strawberry preserves with this citrus pectin and was able to use very little sugar, with a nice set, and still taste the strawberries -- and maintain a nice red color. You'll love it.”
